Councillor Emery is passionate about contributing to the community she lives in and encourages others to become involved. She strives to be a strong voice, advocating for services that sustain and enhance our Township.

A first-term Councillor, she is committed to an open government and collaborative community engagement.  Councillor Emery gained extensive leadership experience as an entrepreneur and effective business professional.  She owned and operated her own business for 10 years. During her 18 year career with Holt Renfrew, she worked in management roles in various departments and was a member of the management team that introduced Victoria’s Secret to Canada.  Councillor Emery works on contract as an ambassador for Paper Label, a lounge wear company designed and developed in Vancouver.

Born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Councillor Emery was introduced to Pointe Au Baril 40 years ago by her husband, a fourth generation resident.  After building their home, they moved back as permanent residents in March of 2014. She continues to enjoy the beauty of the area with her husband and family.
