Deputations

Due to efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect all individuals, procedures for Township of The Archipelago Council meetings are being modified. Council will be conducting all meetings electronically. The Council Chambers will not be open for public attendance, until further notice.  Therefore, all deputations must be conducted via Zoom Meetings (by video or phone).  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Maryann Weaver, Municipal Clerk, by phone at 705-746-4243 x301 or email mweaver@thearchipelago.on.ca.

Persons desiring to present information orally on matters of fact or to make a request of Council shall submit a completed "Request for Deputation" form to the Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. noon on the Wednesday of the week prior to the subject meeting.  The Clerk shall have the discretion in preparing the agenda to limit the number of presentations to be made to Council or the matters to be placed before Council in order to facilitate an orderly and timely meeting.

Request for Deputation forms are also available at the Township of The Archipelago Municipal Office located at 9 James Street in Parry Sound or by contacting the Clerk and requesting a form.

  • Once all information is received and confirmed, we will contact you regarding further deputation and meeting details.
  • Deputations shall limit their presentation to not more than ten (10) minutes in length.
  • Only one spokesperson may speak on behalf of a deputation to Council.
  • Your supporting material, including any presentation material must be provided with the request form. Material may be provided in hard copy or electronic format.
