The Pointe Au Baril Public Library is operated by a number of dedicated volunteers in the Pointe Au Baril Community. Jane Manning-Marshall serves as the volunteer librarian. The Library strives to enhance the community by promoting reading and literacy and maintaining a great selection of current books. The Library is located at the Pointe Au Baril Community Centre, 70 South Shore Road in Pointe Au Baril. Membership is free for residents of the Township of The Archipelago.

In partnership with the Parry Sound Public Library, residents of the Township of The Archipelago can obtain a membership for the Parry Sound Public Library for FREE! Residents who are interested in obtaining a membership must present photo identification, as well as proof of their Archipelago address (i.e. tax bill, cell phone bill, etc.). Archipelago residents can visit the library at 29 Mary Street location and request to join the library or complete the following online form.
In addition to 33,000 physical items available for loan at the Parry Sound Public Library, Archipelago residents can also access the following services remotely:
- Libby, a free reading app for accessing digital content from the library's OverDrive collection
- Mango Languages Learning APP, an online language learning website and mobile app
- NoveList K-8 and Novelist Plus, a database of book recommendations to find your next great read
