PUBLIC NOTICE - COUNCIL VACANCY WARD 1

TAKE NOTICE that a vacancy exists on the Township of The Archipelago Council for one (1) Council, Ward 1. Council will fill this vacancy by appointment in accordance with the following Appointment Procedure.

The term of this position is from the date of Council appointment to November 15, 2026. To be considered for appointment, individuals must meet the following qualifications as outlined in the Municipal Act, 1996:

        1.     Resides in or be an owner or tenant of land, or spouse of such owner or tenant;
        2.     Is a Canadian Citizen
        3.     Is at least 18 years old, and
        4.     Is not prohibited from voting under Section 17(3) of the Municipal Elections Act. 1996 or otherwise by law.

Any qualified individual may submit, in person, an application form by 12:00 PM (noon) on May 7, 2026 to:
