Pointe au Baril Community Centre

The Pointe au Baril Community Centre is home to a public library, a small multi-purpose meeting room and a large event hall. The Community Centre hosts many events annually for residents and non-residents of The Archipelago.  The local community makes regular use of the Community Centre to host such events as church and memorial services, rummage sales and bazaars, family gatherings and weekly pickleball and euchre games.  

The multi-purpose room is equipped with a kitchenette making it a suitable space for meetings, card games and small events.

The main hall has a capacity of 186 people.  Patio doors exit onto a balcony and screened-in porch overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay.  It is equipped with a complete commercial kitchen making it a perfect location for weddings, parties and special events.  The large raised stage area, projector screen and sound system make it an ideal location for theatrical and music performances.  Arts on the Bay is a popular annual event held throughout the summer months in Pointe au Baril.

Potable Water

A free drinking water filling station is available 24/7 outside the Pointe au Baril Community Centre (70 South Shore Road), located on the side of the wall facing the parking lot.
