11-   NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council receives the Zoning By-law Amendment application and directs staff to circulate it within a distance of _____for a future public meeting.

11-     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council receives the Reports of the 
           Chief Administrative Officer as distributed.

12.       REPORT OF TASK FORCES/COMMITTEES

    1. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE
      DREDGING - POINTE AU BARIL

11-      NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Public Works be authorized to proceed
            with dredging in the vicinity of the Township Docks in Pointe au Baril, to the extent
            required to maintain light commercial and recreational navigation during low water
            levels recently experienced.

11-      NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council receives the October 2011 Council Correspondence listing.

            i)          GODERICH AMO DISASTER RELIEF FUND

11-    NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council for the Township of The
          Archipelago authorizes a contribution of $500.00 to the Goderich AMO Disaster
          Relief Fund to assist Goderich in the recovery of the recent F3 tornado on August 21,
          2011.

          
ii) MADD/OPHA
             CAMPAIGN TO ALLOW BEER AND WINE TO BE SOLD IN CONVENIENCE STORES

11-    WHEREAS the Ontario Convenience Store Association is reigniting the debate on
           the privatization of beer and wine sales in Ontario;

AND WHEREAS MADD Canada, the Ontario Public Health Association and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health are opposed to the sale of alcohol, beer and wine in convenience stores;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Township of The Archipelago opposes any plan to put liquor, beer or wine into convenience stores.


iii)  NORTH BAY PARRY SOUND HEALTH UNIT
      SMOKING BAN – MUNICIPAL PROPERTY

11-      NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council supports the North Bay Parry
         Sound District Health Unit Resolution No. BOH/2011/09/03 and authorizes staff to
         prepare a By-law to prohibit smoking as indicated in Resolution No. BOH/2011/09/03.

   iv)    CANADA POST - NEW POSTAL CODES

11-     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council for the Township of The     
          Archipelago supports the recommendation of Canada Post to adopt “The Archipelago,
          Ontario” to replace “Parry Sound, On” in its mailing address for residents and  
          businesses in The Archipelago.
