AMENDMENT No. Z08-15 (Kansun)

THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone Island B-569, being Parcel 24952 PSSS, in front of the geographic Township of Cowper, from the ‘Coastal/Island Residential' (CR) Zone to a site specific ‘Coastal/Island Residential’ zone, to allow the owners to alter the building plans for their main dwelling. The original building plans connected the main dwelling with the sleeping building portion; however, this connection was never constructed.

THE EFFECT of the proposed site specific 'Coastal/Island Residential’ zoning would be for the main dwelling and sleeping building to remain separate; as they were constructed. If allowed to remain separate, the property would be permitted the main dwelling and separate sleeping building, while maintaining the existing rights to have three sleeping cabins on the property as well. The agent has stated that the intent of the application is to reduce the massing of the cottage structure from adjoining lands and waters.
