NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING

PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT No. 65 and

ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT No. Z03-16

(CRANE LAKE DISCOVERY CAMP)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago deemed the following applications to amend the Official Plan and the Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. A2000-07, as amended, complete applications under Sections 22 (6.1) and 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended.

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago will hold a public meeting on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Township of The Archipelago’s Council Chamber, 9 James Street, Parry Sound, Ontario to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 and Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16,in accordance with Sections 17(15)(d) and 34(12)(a)(ii) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended.

THE PURPOSE of proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 is to revise “Section 16 – Special Provisions”, specifically Section 16.42 of the Official Plan with respect to the lands designated as Parcel 25835 P.S.S.S, located in Lots 32 and 33, Concession IX, in the geographic Township of Conger.

THE EFFECT of proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 will be to allow for further development to occur on the lands.

THE PURPOSE of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16 is to amend the ‘Private Club Exception 7 (PC-7)’ zoning of the lands designated as Parcel 25835 P.S.S.S., located in Lots 32 and 33, Concession IX, in the geographic Township of Conger.

THE EFFECT of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16 is to rezone the subject land to allow for the construction of a two-storey staff bunkhouse, a single-storey laundry/shower house, a dwelling, and a second-storey addition within the existing accessory building on the property.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that if you wish to be notified of the adoption of proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 and the passing of proposed Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16, or of the Notice of refusal of a request to amend the Official Plan and Comprehensive Zoning By-law, you must make a written request to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of The Archipelago, 9 James Street, Parry Sound, Ontario P2A 1T4.

IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of The Archipelago before proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 is adopted or Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16 is passed; the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of The Township of The Archipelago to the Ontario Municipal Board.

IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Township of The Archipelago before proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 65 is adopted and Zoning By-law Amendment No. Z03-16 is passed; the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
